Welcome to Ron Peck Motorcycles

This is a new adventure for me. After being involved in motorcycles since I was a teen in the late 1950s,  and I’m still involved. After I was asked to leave high school in my senior year (1961) I joined the Air Force and spent two years at Lakenheath AFB, near Cambridge England where I honed my interest in British bikes. After my return from the USAF I started racing scrambles, TT, and flat track on BSA and Triumph 650s.

In 1968 I went to work for Bill Brownell Honda Triumph in Chico, CA as a salesman and later parts manager and general manager. While I was at Brownell’s, I raced sportsman level flat track and TT in northern California. We also started “cow-trailing” about that time and went on many off-road trips to the Nevada desert and Baja California. I have been working on and modifying motorcycles as a hobby my entire life including flat-trackers, desert sleds, road bikes and track bikes.

My wife Mardelle rides as well and has racked up over ten thousand miles on her CBR 600RR at various tracks here in northern California. This year she is racing AFM as a novice in the women’s class and switching from the CBR to a Suzuki GSXR 750.

I have restored several 60s Triumphs in the last few years and will document them here on the site as time allows. I have restored a lot of motorcycles for customers over the years and will endeavor to include pictures as time goes on. I will start contributing to my Blog as our travels and projects unfold and hope you will check back to watch the progress. I have a shopping cart set up with pay-pal to sell my stuff and will add products as they develop. Thanks to my son-in-law Jeff Jaxon for putting the website together and helping senior citizens join the 21st century.

Update 4-25-2012:

I have started working in my shop full time. Anything from oil changes to complete restorations. Contact me to schedule your project.

update 2-25-2015

Retired and no longer Restoring Motorcycles, it was fun, now we have hit the road, sold the house, shop, tools, bikes. We are gone.

Cheers,
Ron Peck
